Analytical practice and methodology is the basic practical subject of the degree programme, which provides the student with a number of analytical tools for various traditional artistic media, as well as the different mass produced and mass communicated media, by way of analytical examples of visual objects, art works, or phenomena. Using information from the various analytical methodologies as well as theoretical and historical contexts, the student explores both the concrete visual modes of operation and the principle medial or representational issues. There is ,in addition, a training of independent reflection on methodological issues in connection with the analysis of visual art, architectural art and visuality.
