As a survey of Korean literature from the Three Kingdom period to the modern time (1980), this course aims to improve students' reading comprehension and to provide insights into Korean history and culture. Selections of Korean women's writings will also be included. The students will read representative texts from each historical period, discuss what they have read, and write a paper based on the discussion.
